A global bank is seeking a IT business analyst with US broker Equity back office knowledge, in the Post Trade IT team. IT business analyst with US broker Equity back office is managing a project aiming at:
Implementing a new equity back-office system for US Broker Dealer
Implementing and improving settlement, confirmation and clearing workflows Implementing regulatory reporting and maintaining quality of the data Remediating the quality of data Identify and collect irregularities in business operations procedures and propose changes and new methodologies.
Position requires great knowledge of US Broker dealer Equities back office – settlement, accounting, corporate actions, regulatory reporting.
He/She/They will gather requirements, write functional specifications, coordinate with users, develop test plans and perform IT unit testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- For all that relates to Equity back office: IT Business Analysis:
- Close collaboration with the user representatives (operations) to gather business requirements, including the identification of any potential issue or functional omissions;
- define and document the business requirements.
- Write detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
- Development of user test cases and validate test results during user acceptance testing, training with Summit endusers.
- Coordinate the go live and ensure proper system behaviour.
- Project scoping and planning, progress reporting, identification and management of issues/risks and communications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business analysis functions in the Finance industry
- Deep knowledge on US broker dealer equity back-office systems – Broadridge Shadow, BPS or FIS Phase 3, must be familiar with products traded on equity markets.
- Deep IT knowledge, the successful candidate must be able to review source code, write and execute SQL queries (SQL Server) and read/understand a script (Windows and Unix as Bash, Perl, Python)
- Ability to analyze complex problems, with strong attention to detail and ability to provide solutions to problems.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment on multiple applications. Knowledge of C++, C#, python, XML, XSLT, Excel VBA is a plus
